Talent Show

Wyatt decided to do a jump rope routine in his school talent show.  He and his friends had a great time and did a super job.  They had a few rope malfunctions but kept jumping away!!  I was so proud!!!  

Oma's

I was lucky enough to visit Oma this weekend.  I ran away with my Mom & Dad!!  Gaylen wins the "Greatest Husband" award for keeping the kids with him.  I had a great time visiting with Oma - I heard a lot of stories I had never heard before.  Oma amazes me - she came to America as a grown woman with four young kids, not knowing the language, not knowing the land.  She made her way with Opa and the kids.  I don't know if I would have the nerve to do such a thing.

The weather was great, the hills so green, Oma's roses were beautiful, all in all - it was great!!

Family night

Sunday was our night to get all the kids together for dinner.  We had almost everyone.  (We missed y'all, Browns and Picketts)  Dinner was pretty great - Gaylen BBQs a mean burger!  Luckily, it was nice enough out that we all sat on front porch for a while.  The big boys played a little basketball (Ash vs. Caleb was later.  She even held Drew for most of the game.  WOW!!)  The younger kids used the sidewalk chalk - they even got some on the sidewalk.  All in all, it was a great night - can't wait until next month!!!  

Brenna' Dinner

Each Saturday is Mom's night off from cooking, everyone else in the house take turns.  This week was Brenna's turn - she did a great job!!  She made scrambled eggs, sausage and MAC & CHEESE.  It was an interesting combination but somehow it worked!  She had a lot of fun and is already planning for next time.  Everyone enjoyed dinner - there was nothing left!!
