Memory Monday

Best buddies
So excited!
Just a couple of my favorite of my first born! Patrick was always such good buddies with his cousins Cody & Millie - they were like the Three Musketeers! He always was so excited for the 4th of July - he LOVED the parade.
Funny how the time flies....

A Brand New Year!!
I cannot believe another year has come and gone. Time really does fly. I was just thinking about all the things that happened this year.
We said Tchuss to my sweet Oma - I still find myself picking up the phone or starting a letter to her. I have looked through many photos, reread my journal after California visits and talked with my kids about Oma many times this year. I miss her still.
Patrick started high school - I swear he was in kindergarten just a little while ago. He is growing into such a sweet young man. I am so proud of him and the things he does. He LOVES all things musical and never ceases to amaze me with his talent. I do NOT know where he gets it! He also has found a talent in debate - again, I don't know where he gets it!
Wyatt is in fifth grade - he is almost done with elementary school. It seems just yesterday he was a little peanut. He is so independent! He loves to help out with just about anything and he is a hard little worker. He admires his older brother and sisters so much - he always wants to be around them!
Brenna is still my princess but she is growing up. She was baptized in 2010. It blows my mind! Where does the time go?! She LOVES school and dance. She is still content to cuddle up with me from time to time - I am not looking forward to that changing. She is a sweet girl but has definitely found her back bone this past year!
We still try to get together with Gaylen's older kids as often as possible. It is sometimes crazy and usually kinda loud but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so happy they seem so at ease in our home. All the older kids are married with kids now - we welcomed two new grandsons in 2010. That takes the total to 12 grandsons, leaving Brooklyn alone as the only granddaughter but only until March. We are all looking forward to a baby girl in the family. It is amazing how life goes - not always as planned or expected but so wonderful!!
Here's to a fabulous new year....2011.

I love Christmas - everything about it. I love the music, the lights, the spirit, the joy it brings. I love to listen and read the story of the first Christmas in the scriptures. I love being with my family.

******* Warning!!! Complete picture overload!!! *******
I haven't posted all summer so I am just posting some pics to outline our fun!!

We have had a GREAT summer!! I cannot believe it is over already! Time flies so fast!! We went to many parades, the zoo, Lagoon (more times than I know), swim lessons, had fun with great friends and family. We enjoyed Patrick & Brenna in several performances. Wyatt has worked hard - it seems the whole street asked for him to work for them. We enjoyed snowies, popsicles, skittles, s'mores! We welcomed (ok, welcomed might be too strong a word) two new bunnies into our household...they really are quite cute. It has been a great summer - I am sad to see it end. BUT I know it is time to get back to a schedule, a routine. I am so grateful I am able to stay home and spend time with my kids - I enjoy them so much!! I am so thankful for good friends that are always willing to run away and have some fun with our kids in tow!!
My cup runneth over...
