Oma's

We were all lucky enough to get to go and visit Oma.  We had such a great visit.  My Oma is 96 years old!  I try to make it out to California as often as I can to visit her!  I can see a change in her from the last time I was there - she is getting older.  It makes me sad but she is still pretty amazing!  We had great visits with her.  We also went to the beach - AMAZING day!  We went to Point Reyes lighthouse - we had to go down 308 steps to get to the lighthouse but it was quite a sight!  The sky and the water - both amazing colors of blue - a blue that is almost unbelievable.  We also helped in Oma's yard, had dinner with my cousin Rita & her family - visited with cousins and laughed A LOT!  I learned a few things too.  For example - did you know that a peacock is louder than a rooster?!?  I didn't either - I do now!  We had such a great time!  I truly hope we are able to make it back to see her soon.  She is such an amazing example to me - I marvel at her.  She left her Motherland at 41 with four young kids and a new husband - not speaking the language.  She is so brave.
