Trying to pass the time....
She thought the clouds were so pretty - she wanted a picture of them!

As soon as school got out - we headed out!! We drove to Almont, Colorado - it was BEAUTIFUL!! The drive took some time but we had some laughs on the way!! We went for my cousin's wedding - they decided to get married on a mountainside. It was amazing!! We got there a bit late on Friday but my Mom and her brothers had saved us some food. STUFFED BURGERS!! Woo Hoo!!
The next day - we had breakfast with my family at my Mom's cabin. Patrick treated us to a mini-concert and we visited - A LOT. It was so great to be with my Mom's brothers and their families. I come from an amazing family - I love to talk and laugh with them all. The kids rode their bikes, Patrick played his guitar, they got their feet wet in the river - it was COLD!! :)
We all got ready to head for the wedding. It was a beautiful sight - so many shades of green! Tyson and his bride were beautiful - truly. They each had the sweetest vows. It was really awesome. We had dinner in a little Italian restaurant - YUM!! It seemed to be the perfect wedding day for them - exactly how they wanted it.
We headed home on Sunday - the weekend went too, too fast. It was so great to see everyone. I am so happy I was able to be there to share in Tyson & Lauren's special day.

What a great weekend!!!

Winding down.....

The end of the school year came and went so fast!! I didn't blog any of it.... so - here is a wrap up of the last week (or so) of school. Wyatt's class put on a opera - the kids wrote all of it and then preformed it in the library - it was fun! Brenna and Wyatt both went on field trips - I was able to go on both - we had a great time! Brenna had her first grade program - she made my Mom, Tante Inga and me all cry. It was so sweet. Patrick shaved with shaving cream and a razor for the first time!!! (He didn't even cut himself!) Wy played the piano in the talent show - did a great job!! Patrick sang and played his guitar at the end of year assembly - again I cried! BUT I wasn't the only one!! He also had his last band concert at SJH. Brenna is playing coach pitch and loving it!!
It has been a CrAzY few weeks but we laughed a lot, cried a little and enjoyed being together!! I can't believe how fast time flies!! My kids bring me such joy! I am so proud of each of them - they all have such different and wonderful talents.
I am looking forward to a great summer!!

Way to go girl!!!

Us at the Jacob Hamblin house.
BEAUTIFUL!!!

We ran AWAY!!! My friend Jan & I have wanted to go to Tuacahn for a while - we just didn't know how to convince our guys that THEY wanted to go, too. We found our answer - Brian Regan. Have you heard him? Seriously, You-Tube him - you will laugh until your sides HURT!! AND his act is clean - he said "hell" less times than I do - I count that as clean!! :)

Anyway - so we planned a little weekend in St. George back in January. We had such a GREAT time!! We left not long after the kids got on the bus and headed south. We found an awesome little restaurant - Honolulu Cafe - excellent teriyaki (and I don't even LIKE teriyaki)! We went to a ghost town - had a BLAST!!!! :) We also hit Brigham Young's winter house and Jacob Hamblin's house for a little more history.

We laughed until we cried at Brian Regan. Tuacahn is a BREATHTAKING venue - seriously!! The show was fantastic - I haven't laughed that hard in such a long time - TOO long!! I was worried when the opening act came out - Gaylen didn't laugh until he was almost done. I didn't know if he would enjoy Brian Regan or not, but he did!! He laughed and laughed. We all did!!

I am SO thankful to Ashlee & Tyson for staying with the kids the first night. My kids had such a fun time. Thanks Ash!! And Tyson!! You have NO idea how much we appreciate it. Gaylen and I haven't been away together for more than a night in almost NINE (YES NINE) years!! We just had fun together. I also need to thank my Mom and Dad - the kids stayed with them Friday night. Mom carted my kids all over creation - orthodontist appointment, birthday party, talent show try-outs, Dinosaur park. WOW!!

Jan & Dave are SO easy to travel with - we laughed so much!! I am SO thankful for such good friends. I just hope we don't have to wait for another nine years to get away!!
